Installation
IMPORTANT NOTICE: Due to the combined weight of the spa, water, and its occupants, it is imperative that the base on which the spa rests is even, flat, levelled and suitable to carry this weight in a uniform manner, without the possibility of displacement or subsidence. This needs to be the case for the entire period during which the spa is installed. If the spa is placed on a surface that does not meet these requirements, the surround and/or spa slab may be damaged. Damage caused by an incorrect base will not be covered by the warranty. The owner of the spa is always responsible for the adequate state of the base. We advise a poured, reinforced concrete plate with a minimum cross section of 10 cm. A wooden floor may also be used , if it meets the above mentioned requirements. The spa must be installed in such a way that the drainage leads away from the spa. For spas that have been countersunk in a floor or a ground plate, the installation must take place in such a way that the equipment used for service purposes is accessible either via the top side or the bottom side of the spa. Make sure there are no obstructions that could prevent removal of the side panels from the enclosure, especially on those sides where the doors leading to the equipment are located. When choosing the ideal outside location for your spa, we advise you to take the following points into consideration:
- the proximity of the spa, in order to easily access the spa and the house respectively (especially in cold weather)
- the path to and from the spa (this path must be free of dirt and leaves which can easily fall into the spa)
- the proximity to trees and shrubs (do not forget that leaves and birds can provide some extra work when it comes to keeping your spa clean)
- a protected surrounding (a limited exposure to weather and wind can result in a reduction of the exploitation and maintenance costs)
- the general improvement of your surroundings. We advise you not to place the spa under a roof that is not equipped with drain pipes, since precipitation will reduce the life span of the protective covering of the spa. For indoor installation, good ventilation must be ensured. When the spa is used often, moisture will escape. This can damage certain surfaces in the long run.
ELECTRICITY SUPPLY OF YOUR SPA:
It is very important that your spa is properly connected to your meter. Let this be done by a certified installer. If the spa is wrong is connected all the warranty expires. Each design has its own spa line value, which is determined on the basis of:
1. number of pumps, heating power, and options on the spa
2. total consumption of power from the spa
3. size of the spa
The total value of your spa line how much power is given to your spa should take. This is our sales specified as follows:
- Small spa + 1 x 16 amps loose earth connected to a separate group in your meter
- Means large spa + 2 x 16 amps loose earth connected to a separate group in your meter
- Large spa 3 x 16 ampere (krachtstroom) + loose earth connected to a separate group in your meter.
In practice regularly for the spa connected to a separate group, but also something different on about? This causes problems and the spa will give interference. Therefore it is important that your spa GOOD connected by a ACKNOWLEDGES installer is built. They know what is and is not possible at home, ask it when you buy your spa!
